Tap the $ icon on the home screen, enter the amount, then tap Pay. Search for your recipient by $Cashtag, phone number, or email. Add an optional note and confirm. For large amounts you may be asked to verify your identity first.
Payments fail due to insufficient balance, expired linked cards, or a security hold. Pending payments clear within 1–3 business days. Go to Settings → Linked Banks & Cards to update your payment method and try again.
Pending payments: go to Activity → tap the transaction → Cancel Payment. Completed payments cannot be reversed — tap the transaction, select Request Refund and wait for the recipient to accept. Cash App cannot force refunds on completed transfers.
Tap the Cash Card tab → Get Cash Card → customize your design → confirm your address. The card arrives in 5–7 business days. Your virtual card number is available immediately for online purchases. Identity verification is required to receive a physical card.
Go to Banking → Direct Deposit. Copy your unique account and routing numbers and give them to your employer's payroll department. Most deposits arrive up to 2 days early. You must have a verified account to use this feature.
Unverified accounts: $250 sent / $1,000 received per month. Verify your identity under Settings → Personal → Identity Verification using your full name, date of birth, and last 4 digits of your SSN. Verified users can send up to $7,500 per week.
Account locks occur due to suspected fraud or Terms of Service violations. Follow the in-app instructions to verify your identity. If the issue persists, contact Cash App Support directly. Do not create a second account while yours is under review — this can result in a permanent ban.
Tap the Bitcoin tab → select Buy or Sell → enter an amount → confirm. Cash App uses real-time market prices. You must be verified and reside in a supported state. Withdrawals to an external wallet require additional verification.
Go to Activity → tap the transaction → Report an Issue and select your reason. Change your PIN and enable 2FA immediately. Cash App will never ask for your sign-in code, PIN, or ask you to send a "test payment" via phone or email.
Sending via balance or bank account: free. Credit card payments: 3% fee. Instant bank transfers: 0.5–1.75% (min $0.25). Standard bank transfers: free but take 1–3 business days. Bitcoin purchases include a small service fee shown before confirmation.
Go to Profile → Privacy & Security → Change PIN. Enter your current PIN, then set a new one. Forgot your PIN? Tap Forgot PIN to receive a verification code by email or SMS. Cash App support will never ask for your PIN.
Cash App uses encryption, biometric authentication, and real-time fraud detection. Enable two-factor authentication in Settings → Privacy & Security. Always use a unique PIN and never share your sign-in code with anyone — including people claiming to be Cash App support.
